Emerald Limon

Carla Mino, Organic Cake Designer, customizes every cake and dessert from the client's vision.  As an artist and floral designer, she sketches, designs and customizes each client's special request for cakes and desserts.  She uses 100% certified organic ingredients and fruits, as well as Fair Trade chocolate and coffee.  She also uses alluminum-free baking products.  No artificial dyes or fondant is used. Only fresh fruits and vegetables are used to color the frosting to match the event's theme.

Emerald Limon represents family tradition.  As a young girl in Peru (where Carla was born), Carla watched her French-Peruvian Mamama (grandmother in Spanish), create beautiful and delicious desserts.  Carla remembers her Mamama's famous lemon merengue pie made in an Oster mixer.  Her Mamama's eyes were deep emerald green.  Carla wanted to honor her Mamama's influence of baking to her company name.  Also, to honor Carla's father, Pops, she added Limon to the company's name as well.  Pops, Carla, and her two older sisters would have a lemon contest, where each would eat a lemon.  The winner was the one who did not show any sign of the tartness of the lemon in their face.  Pops would always win and Carla's sister soon gave up.  For years, Pops and Carla would have the lemon showdown until one day Carla beat Pops and was the reigning champion of the lemon contest.  Carla and Pops had so much fun.  And so the name Emerald Limon was born.  Carla is famous for her Lemon Delight Cake which is her #1 seller. 

Carla has been baking since she was 11.  She knows the importance of having high quality ingredients in her desserts just like her Mamama did.  Having visited Paris and revisting Peru, Carla tasted the most exquisite desserts.  So, she was committed to baking only with natural organic ingredients and fruits.

Why organic?  Organic products are farmed with no pesticides or fertilizers in their soil, nor are they chemically enhanced.
